Dr. Mohammed Alghamdi

Dr. Alghamdi received his MBBS degree from King Saud University – College of Medicine in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 2007, and did internal medicine residency program at King Khalid University from 2008-2012 and obtained Saudi board of internal medicine in addition to Arab board and King Saud University fellowship in Internal Medicine. His Medical Oncology Residency and Medical Oncology Fellowship in Sarcoma, Breast, GI, and Unknown Primary Cancers completed at Tom Baker Cancer Center in Calgary, Alberta Canada in 2015 and 2017 respectively.  

Dr. Alghamdi obtained his Medical Oncology Board in Canada at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2016. He worked as a locum consultant at Tom Baker cancer center from 2017-2018. Dr. Alghamdi joined King Saud University Medical City early 2019 as a medical oncologist. He served as a program director of medical oncology fellowship from 10/2019-10/2020. He was appointed as the head of medical oncology department from 2020 till now and deputy director of the oncology center from Sep 2021 till now.

Dr. Alghamdi is the chairman of Saudi Society of GI Oncology since March 2022.
